The high bars buzz a bit more than the clubmans. Has anyone found heavy barends that quell the vibes?

There's a couple threads around on these.

BTW, those can also be ordered with black (powdercoat) bar ends. You just have to let them know at the time you order. I'd call to ensure they know to get them powdercoated.

I haven't tested them on my CR yet, but the HVMP bar ends look great and work fantastic on all my other Buells. Made in the US and much cheaper than those vibrator bar end things linked above.

I have a set of the HVMP on my R.

Five coats of flat black krylon, they look pretty good.

They do offer powder coating on the HVMP bar ends now, they just haven't put the option on their website.

Has anyone used a heavy Throttlemeister? The heavy one weighs 14 oz, the same as the heavy HVMP. Was wondering if it would deaden vibration like the HVMP but with the added benefit of a throttle lock.

I've used throttlemeister on all my bikes (have not used them on the CR due to the bar end mirror) and would suggest them to anyone.

I looked on the throttlemeister website. They claim to have no products for 1125s. I was going to measure and call them to see if one will fit.

Keef, do you have the high bar on a cr? What model throttlemeister?

Most buells need a hollow bar type. You have to measure the inside diameter and get the proper setup. The set I had on my '99M2 was a peg with o-rings that would bind on the inside of the bar when tightened.

Worked great.

Spoke to HVMP honcho. There is one fitting issue on the CR, but they are not sure if it was with the low bars or the high bars, and if it applies to both the Heavy and Extra Heavy bar ends. HVMP is looking into it.

Froggy, you may want to stop by HVMP HQ for some measuring with your CR.

Also with the powdercoating, it is now a matte black and not a gloss black.

I have these on my R, they do help limit the vibration some.
These are probably not as heavy as the others listed though.

Johnnylunchbox, I will take you up on that, I need a few sets for all my recent acquisitions. My CR is down at the moment but once I get my Blast back I can steal my CR parts off it. : D

Oh, I am currently running the clubmans, those high bars were horrible.

Apparently the HVMP fitment issue is with the optional 2009 1125CR Tall Handlebar Kit in that the ID of the bar steps down after about the first 1 inch and the HVMP flanged serrated nut is to large to fit into the smaller ID of the bar. A work around was to replace this nut with a smaller non-flanged one and sand down the OD of the rubber sleeve.

Has anyone here installed the HVMP bar ends on the tall handlebar kit?

I had a set of Manic Salamander bar end weights on my S3. They use a metal-to-metal fit rather than a rubber sleeve. The 1125CR is not listed under their "confirmed fitments" listing but that may be because nobody's tried them.
