Do you have one of those? I don't see how anything would fit without hitting the fairing. Not much room.

Oh, no, I don't have one, just remembered seeing it, I've got a CR so didn't think about the fairing.

It will be fine, you just angle the arm inward.

I think i like the stem mount better, but i may give the one from PE a shot. I was just wondering how much room there was even with the arm angled.

Have a quick look at this thread:

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/514120.html

I bought the stem mount for mine but after reading on here how to fit it I've decided to re-use the mirror mount that I already have and use one of the longer extenders to make it work..

I have the brake/clutch reservoir version on my clutch cover and it works great.

Because I had extra, I used one of the U bolt mounts and used it in between the left controls and the tree.

Cool... If you don't have a waterproof cover then I can recommend this:

http://www.buybits.com/product/sku_6525.aspx

It already has the ball mount fitted

Here is how I mounted a RAM Mount GPS setup through the stem.

Parts needed (everything except RAM Mount ball from Lowes):

1 - 1/4" x 20 tpi x 12" long threaded rod (cut to size - about 11" long)
1 - 1/4" x 20 well nut (to center rod in triple clamp stem)
1 - rubber washer
1 - fender washer
1 - nylon lock nut
1 - rubber laminated washer
1 - 1/4" x 20 tpi female 1" RAM Mount Ball

Put rod down the hole in the triple clamp top nut, and thread the well nut on from the bottom far enough to put the rubber washer, fender washer, and lock nut on.

Then put the rubber laminated washer and RAM mount ball on the top. Torque as desired.

Secure the GPS mount and adjust for proper viewing...mine is full forward and down. This gives me a perfect view of both GPS and instrument cluster.

I had mine setup similar to Maximum on my SVs, but RAM seems to have caught on:

I use these on my 1125s:
