SCRATCHED the black powder coat (like so many others have) down to bare metal, no matter how careful I was. Also, the quite core is stuck inside the muffler. Fiberglass packing already coming out of the tail end, underneath the tip. Stains on the collector/midpipe from installing it WITH gloves on, nothing seems to get the marks off. I'm very frustrated at this point.

The stains on the midpipe will burn off, I had a few grubby finger marks on mine too (my fault not Tim's) but they're gone now.

Sliding the mount over the can is a bit tricky, I'm glad I didn't go for powedercoated, if I had I think I'd have loosly wrapped some shiny paper around the can befor sliding the mount on.

My quiet core slipped straight out so you do seem to have an issue with that.

Give Tim a shout, their customer service was fantastic when I was pestering them..

Out of interest when you say the quiet core is stuck is that AFTER removing the tip or are you having problems getting that off too?

Mine was done up REALLY tight (two of the allen bolts in particular) but a slightly longer allen key got them off..

I scratched the hell outta mine (also not powdercoated). I just call it character.
Plus, you can't see it unless you're on your knees staring at it. It is under the bike, after all.

Also, my quiet core was a little stuck also.

And, a little bit of packing will come out. I had probably a 1" long x 1/8" wide piece come out when I took the core out, but that was it.
I guess if it's coming out in huge clumps, there's a problem.

Emailed them, no response.
Jule, got the tip off no prob, my scratch is a an inch to the left of the bracket, in plain view.

Leech, yeah the core is stuck inside the recessed groove with just the mesh screen showing and I don't want to destroy it getting it out.

Justin, your bike looks great by the way, nice D&D.

Sorry to hear that Tim,

I did send it to Mike cause he was the last to be in touch with me. I'll be in touch, BTW got the QC out, just was pretty tricky.

Mike just called me and said they pulled him off life support he was the person that polished all of our exhaust cans for us. He said he will be checking his email in the mornings so if you don't hear from him you can always email me.
