As most of you know I bought a used 08 1125R in Jan. I fixed it up, and got updated flash. It already had denoid and all recalls done. I have been having LF light come on when it's cold and once the neutral light stuck on for two days and killed my battery. So my dealership ordered me a new IC and while they were at it a cali emissions can. so things have been going great. I have put over 2k on the bike in the last two and a half months with no problems.

1) Today I fire up the bike to let it warm up and after about 30secs of running it makes a loud metal to metal clunk. It kept running, and never did it again. So I have no idea what it could of been. But I didn't like it.

2) Recently (last few days) sometimes when I push the start button I get nothing. So I turn the key off and back on again and everything starts just fine. Happened twice today. Maybe the new IC will fix that. Kind of weird.

I do not want to sound like I am complaining about this bike. I love my R and have been having so much fun on it it's ridicules. It is an amazing bike and I have been more than happy with my purchase.

If anyone has any ideas about the two small problems I had today please let me know.

Thank you

Check the connection of your starter cables. Mine were loose and causing a similar problem to yours, when the start button was pressed.

Starter and or starter clutch? (only a guess though). Check the starter solenoid too although that wouldn't make a mettalic clunk I suppose it it were to fail "closed" it could make the starter stick
