It was a bigger job than I expected, but finally got it all together, got rid of the cable binding, extended the brake switch leads, etc.

It was all worth it.

Got out today on a beautiful 70+ degree sunny day in upstate NY. What a treat. I'm not in pain after a 50 mile ride, the steering is lighter, turning is effortless, and it's just so much more comfortable - almost as good as my xb12ss.

I know there are proponents of the clubmans and good for them - but the CR is now the bike I wanted it to be. Before I could tell had killer bike potential, but the ergos were getting in the way of the experience for me. Not any more!

Amen. Just sold my Ducati 848 and bought the CR from McHenry in IL, had em put the high bars on b4 it shipped to me in CT....I now have a serious case of perma-grin whereas I had only tempo-grin on the Duc...so stoked for this riding season and to be back in the Buell fam.

Funny, I live about 5 minutes from the McHenry shop. I rode one of the bikes with the high bars and found it to be really comfortable. I liked the faring so much though I went with the R.

Don't you love when you gas the thing, how it puts you into the back of the seat. Acceleration is pretty cool. I like my high bars. I also put on the lower pegs, 1 inch.

Yeah, I'm thinking about lower pegs, but that hasn't bothered me too much - certainly nothing like the clubman bars. Did you put the lightning pegs on, or???

Uly pegs. Same drop but a lot larger surface.

After the bars, that's the best mod.
