Has anyone found a flush mount turn signal that fits where the stock mirror stalk mates to the front fairing?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah I used hardbodys. I had to drill a hole in the fairing support though to get them to work

more pics, and info on the signals please...i.e. what bike were they made (maybe even a part number), price, and pics of how they're mounted, etc..

THANX

here is the thread related to the ones I got
http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/529740.html

when I got them, the part number was not for the stick on ones. So I had to drill a hole for the mount bolt through the fairing support.

I'll get some pictures here in a bit

They can be flush mounted but I grew tired of messing with it. Im happy with it the way it is. I will probably swap these for a better profile looking one later like the Avio or the newer Rizoma.

Thanks guys. I spent a few hours searching for info on this and looking over options on MCsuperstore and eBay and Amazon and finally found D2moto.com

If you look at the Kawasaki and Yamaha mirrors you'll see they have two mounting studs like the Buell.

See here: http://www.d2moto.com/2004-2006-Yamaha-YZF-R1-Jet- Black-Racing-Mirrors-p/m021-black.htm

The Honda and Suzuki mirrors do not apparently. So it stands to reason that Kawasaki or Yamaha flush mount turn signals (mirror block off) would be a closer fit.

D2moto also has billet CNC bar end mirrors for less than $20 including the bar insert.

Here: http://www.d2moto.com/Honda-Kawasaki-Suzuki-Yamaha -Bar-Ends-Mirrors-p/m040-carbon.htm

The signals are really inexpensive.

http://www.d2moto.com/2000-2006-Yamaha-YZF-R1-LED- Smoke-Turn-Signals-p/lts023-smoke.htm

Those seem close to the profile of the Buell mirror base and should have two mounting studs based on what the mirrors use.

Considering how cheap the stuff is I am thinking of getting the signals just to see how they mate up...maybe it's that simple.

I bought some flush mount Yamaha R1 indicators off eBay that are a perfect fit...they're self adhesive so I haven't fitted them yet although they do seem pretty much a perfect fit.

I thought I'd use velcro to mount them and a zip-tie under to keep the faring in place that way I can pop it on and off in next to no time..

Has anybody given these a shot, LED mirrors? I don't think much could be seen through them, but they look cool and would not F-up the aerodynamics or the "R" like the bar end mirrors. Yeah, they would need to match the plastic, so chrome is out.

I don't think I like that look. But thanks for that link. Probably not much worse a rear view than those dental mirrors hanging off the bars.

I'm going to order some stuff from d2 and see how it works out.

I did the hotbodies blinker/blockoff about 3 months ago and like them.

They're definitely not quite as bright as the others, but fit almost completely flush.

I did not drill anything new to get mine to fit - there is a small gap at the back, but I'm not willing to drill my plastic, so OK to live with it as-is.

I'll post a couple pics to compare for you guys.

Pretty sure mine were the CBR1000RR in smoke. about $50 iirc.

HTH!

Here's a couple snaps w/ my camera phone...

You can see a bit of the flat spot at the front of the blinker, and if you look closely you may see a small crescent of the hole that is exposed. Pretty hard to spot...

A BIT dusty... but you get the idea.

Anyway - HTH!

Sl33py-
Yours look much better than mine. Looks like you got the better ones. I asked for advice on here but didn't get much of a response so I went with the one reply i got. I guess i got the wrong ones, but I made them work.

and thanks, I am stoked with how the matte black came out
