Ulysses yes. You can also get some nice drop pegs from board sponsor Knight Designs. | ||

Ulysses silvers ones are like $40 for a set, black ones are $80 or so. Fit right on my 09 CR. Would recommend in a heart beat. Way more comfortable. | ||

From the XB12S Lightning. Same drop as the Ulysses, but smaller perch. The Uly pegs were the first thing I did on my CR, and one of the best. Night and day difference. R | ||

Lightning pegs are like stock without rubber and 1 inch lower. Ulysses pegs are kind of wide with a funny shape like a beavers tail. | ||

S pegs are Lightning pegs, or XB12S or Ss, a lot less expensive than the uly pegs. I had traded an XB12Ss for my CR so having the same pegs was great for me, same feel. | ||

I am 6'0" old guy with the stock pegs, in my standard position on balls of my feet it uncomfortably stretches back of thigh toward arse, hamstring? My knees seem like they are up too high. my 96 S1 has a lower peg mounting point and not a problem. I ordered the Lightning pegs this week. | ||

6'4", 34" inseam (half titanium legs), '09 CR with clubmans, Buell touring seat and Ulysses pegs. Perfectly comfortable and accessible, even in armored Fieldsheer pants. Not *Ulysses* comfortable, mind you...but damned close to my S2 for rider position. The drop pegs are for a) taller people with longer inseams, as well as b) general comfort. Its amazing the difference an inch makes. Dropping the pegs definitely helps the "heels up the butt" feeling go away  | ||

Silver Uly pegs just came in yesterday, so they'll be going on this morning. Will likely have no true input until after the trek to Homecoming and back...That's the only time so far that the stock pegs really got to me. Ordered them at x-mas time, and status just kept reading "pending shipment from Harley-Davidson" forever. I actually had forgotten I had even ordered them, so it was a nice surprise to see the FedEx box on the porch. | ||

I really like the Uly pegs. Besides the drop, they offer more surface area than the stockers. I got the black ones. I had to adjust the gear shift lever but I didn't touch the brake lever. (Message edited by Kidder on March 21, 2010) | ||

Okay, I got the "natural finish" Uly pegs on and went for a little spin. Not completely sold on them...Below are my observations so far. Interested to hear what other Uly peg folks think... Pros: 1) a little lower, by maybe an inch or so 2) at least twice as wide Both of these are as everyone has said in the past, and would definitely be nice for a full day of touring type riding. Cons: 1) front edge of the pegs are more of an "edge" than stock pegs, and I am finding my feet catch on them a bit when shifting positions as I move around on the bike to accel, decel, and navigate turns. this isn't huge, but could be problematic during aggressive riding on technical road/track. 2) pegs put feet about 3/4" to 1" farther away from the bike center line, which makes stock short shift pedals a bit more challenging to reach. Can anyone recommend longer pedals that will bolt right up and not look too out of place? 3) seem to not be as "grippy" as stock pegs. I suspect this is due to lack of rubber? it is completely dry here, so I am a bit concerned about grip in wet conditions. Look forward to input from others...Thanks! | ||

No, its because the silver pegs suck. The black ones have a different grip pattern plus a textured surface and WILL hold your boots. | ||

Get some of the nonskid in a can. It is textured no slip material in an aerosol can. We use it at work to paint yellow and black safety stripes. It holds up well to industrial use, so I don't see why it wouldn't work well on the pegs. When I get my Uly pegs I plan to spray mine. | ||

I have the black Uly pegs and I wear Frank Thomas boots. I have had ZERO issues with slippage. Ponti1, what kind of boots/shoes do you wear? I'm extremely happy with the Uly pegs. They provide a bigger base than the stock pegs. I have size 14 feet so it makes a huge difference for me. | ||

Would've just went with the black ones, but didn't know any difference other than color, and couldn't see paying twice as much for a color change. Is the general consensus that the black Uly pegs are better just in terms of grip, or does their shape lend itself to resolving all of my "con" list? Ponti1, what kind of boots/shoes do you wear? Guess that is sort of significant...Should have included it before. I normally just wear "standard" Dr. Martens (model 1460). Anyone have input on "cons" 1 and 2? I just got back from another ride, and am getting used to going pigeon-toed for shifting/braking (con # 2), but am still catching the front edge of the peg on foot repositioning (con # 1). What about other drop pegs? Anyone used the Uly pegs, then gone aftermarket and found a much better option? | ||

Ponti1, I did notice the pigeon-toe effort required but, for some reason, only affects how I use the rear brake. However, I don't use my rear brake when riding twisties so it's no big deal for me. If it was a big deal, I'd probably just remove the stock toepiece on the brake lever and add a longer bolt and some nuts to make it the length I wanted. | ||
