I need the part number for the right rear turn signal harness that passes through the tail section under the seat out to the turn signal, and the part number for the stock air filter.

Also, I lost the mounting instructions for mounting the Buell large tail bag. If anyone has a set and could scan and email it to me, that would be great.

Another question on the tail bag, does it sit directly on the rear seat cover, or is the cover supposed to be removed?

You can PM me or send them to davidg.gordon at gmail dot com.

Thanks.

I just put my tailbag on the other day.

It will go on either with, or without, the seat cowl. I currently have the cowl removed because I don't want too many scratches on it, the bag is directly on the passenger seat.

The bag comes with an armload of straps:

(4) 12"
(1) 16"
either (2) or (4) monster-long 24" with a loop on one end.

I mounted mine this way:

16" strap at the rear, hooked into one D ring on the bag, run under the tail section, aft of the turn signals, up to the other rear D ring.

(2) 12" straps for the front D rings. Each side gets one, run around and under the tail section to the little cutout divots in the undertail. You have to push and prod and convince the hook on the strap to go into the undertail, but it eventually snaps in.

I wrapped each strap with the little pad things that are in the kit, to help cut down on more scratching (whyohwhy did I buy a BLACK bike??), then tightened all the straps.

I mounted the bag so that when you un-zip the lid, it 'hinges' at the front; the rubberized carry handle and the Buell logo are in the rear.
