I tried to do a search.....search doesnt work. AT ALL.
So please, Im looking of tips on where to mount the Buell cigarette lighter adaptor on a R.

I put mine on this morning, but not real happy with current mounting(ziptied to fairing brace)
Would love to get some ideas on a clean install.

Thanks for any help you can give, I really appreciate it

I mounted mine on my lower fairing brace towards the center. I took photos but don't have them small enough for here yet. If you look toward the inside of the lower brace, near the speedo, there is a large triangular shape hole. You can slide it on nicely if you unscrew the mounting for the plug. The screw mount actually grabs it a little. If you pull on it the plug will come out a little, but it's easily pushed back in. Outside of drilling the fairing (not happening) this was the best spot. It's not too bad.

Cut the cigarette adapter off and replace it with a Powerlet adapter. It'll take up real estate, is used with marine grade materials, and the plug won't come out like I've heard is common with the Buell cigarette adapter.

All you have to do is crimp some female ends on that will mate with the Powerlet.

I am using it to run my GPS on my CR.

I appreciate the advice, but that doesnt help much with mounting location.

I plan to use the end that came on it until there is an issue. Looks to be pretty well made and water tight.
