"Also, why does it limit those." Most likely to save weight (less material for shorter stroke) and because on the track you don't need much steering travel and the less the better when it comes to a tank slapper situation. | ||

I know lithium-ion batteries accept a charge much easier and charge faster than the standard battery. I do a lot of city driving in conditions where the rpm is too low to charge fully, this battery would be able to charge up faster when the rpm is up during my short trips. The extra cca and weight savings would just be a bonus. I priced out some other batteries and some similar to this were in the $800 ball park, the lower cost lithium-ion batteries that look like D cells shrink wrapped together just scare me. Keeping the cells charged evenly so they don't overheat is very important, this battery from EBR does that and should be safe. | ||

I love the gp shift. I had it on all my past bikes. But that just involved inverting the shifter arm. This one is almost 3 bills.  I'll still buy it though... | ||

I have one on my track bike, and stragely enough I set new personal bests a couple of weeks ago on a BONE STOCK 1125r with none of the neat tricky bits my track bike has. One of the things I noticed was just how much better the stock bike steered. I'm definitely going to reduce the amount of damping I have set up when I get the track bike back from the suspension shop. |
