I had to hold off grabbing an 1125 last year due to any number of house related problems that ate my cycle budget alive and now the dealers that have them left are looking for pre shut down prices. I don't blame them and prices are still better than original retail, but damn it is still more than last year. Cripes I wish I had just gone ahead when I was first looking. The demo I drove had the surging, but I still loved it, but I talked myself out of it as I was dealing with some house issues at the time. They were asking $7995 then and now they are back to that it seems. I'm still growing the cash pot back, and have no desire for a loan, so I'm hating it. I should have jumped when a local was dusting off '08's for $4995. #$#^@&!!!! Not to mention a deal I passed on in the classified section last year for xb9. Arggg!
Sorry for the wasted space with my whine, just wish I had one. One of those days, it was good to vent without the wife telling me to shutup. : )

Do it, beg barrow steal, I keep looking at the mfg totals... Dumbfounded! Less than 9000, and a few of those have already been totaled. It was an ordeal getting mine squared away, and I haven't really had the opportunity to really verify its fixed (time will tell thing). After dialing in the suspension, I cannot get enough of this bike. You will not regret it... Once any issues are sorted.

Let me get this straight. Your are going to pass up a "once-in-a-lifetime" deal because you want to save money for a purchase that will not exist. Have you ever wondered why loans were ever created? Perhaps for people just like you. I'm just sayin...

Lol, yea loans were created to buy things, but I was saying for the two years before the loan market and banks went to hell, including HD's finance arm, that people were into loans way above their means. I took out loans to start my business and am real loan adverse at this point. Would love to do it and could afford a loan, but for me its a psychological thing. As much as I would love to say screw it and buy, it really is more for fun than necessity, so a much heavier trigger pull for me. I need to change my point of view, hell I might even be able to keep it in bankruptcy the way things work. Lol

You do know that they aren't making these things any more? I think that you are making the logical fallacy of defective induction. One particular group of bad loans does not mean that the whole of loans are bad.

Just me, no inference on loans for everybody, just my preference for handling finances. If I don't come up with cash to pick up a new one, I can pick up a used one at some point. Might even buy one to keep for the long haul for the kids to cash in on if they do become collectors items. Again, it's my mindset, not necessarily a judgment of others. I make my living in the finance markets. That gives me enough risk day to day, and I'll live as close to cash as possible in my everyday life outside of business.
