i bought one of the signal minders that was supposed to do all that but it doesnt work on our bikes since there is no flasher relay

i want rear turn signals to operate as running lights and brake lights

I am wanting to eliminate the mirrors in the and might go to the backup camera route.

In that case you want to go the other way (running lamps to turn signals).

Swap out the running lamp bulbs with some LED ones that light up yellow. They're a 5W bayonet fitting bulb as standard.

You could then cut the wires to the running light bulb holder and put bullet connectors on there to attach them to the indicator wires under the fairing when you remove the mirrors.

I replaced my running lights with "xenon" style SMD/SMT LED ones - they are a crisp white colour and MUCH brighter, they match the Xenon headlight bulb I fitted too.

The amber/yellow ones you'd want would be like these:
