I should have known better then to assume the the wire colours were going to be the same on both sides of the connector. If anyone has either wiring diagrams or has the fairing off (1125 R), can you tell me which colour wire connects to which on the connector for the right side handlebar switch cluster? A bit more info. I am replacing the bars and switch clusters on my 1125 R, I just replaced the connectors on the bike side of the wiring harness but since my notes only indicated what colour wire went to what switch (ie. black/red and white/red to start switch, white/black and grey to run/stop switch) I did not consider that the harness on the bike would not use the same colour wires. I had already removed the old connector so could not simply plug things back together to check.. hope I am not making this request sound to confusing. Anyway, if someone could look at this connector on their bike and tell me what colour wire each of the (four) above listed wires connects to, that would be great.
Thanks

PM sent about wiring schematic.

I'm looking at my spare right hand switch as i type; i'd need to see my bike's matching connectors or get to my owner's manual to see which corresponds to which. Can't get to my bike till tomorrow after work. sorry.

as far as the wiring harness schematic goes... on a 2008 model, the R/BK wire runs to the key switch and key relay. The W/BK wire runs directly to the ignition relay. The gray wire runs to both the ignition and auxiliary relay, as well as the "switched ignition 1" and "switched ignition 2" spots on the interference connector to engine subharness. the BK/R wire runs directly to the start relay.

Hope that helps for now.

Thanks Kevin, my bike (09 R) is stored in a friends garage, I didn't write down the wire colours on the bike side of the harness (although I know they do not correspond), I will have to get that info tomorrow. For now, I have not locked them into the terminal block.

Re-checked everything yesterday (the wiring diagrams you sent were extremely helpful) Plugged the four remaining wires in and all should be well. I confirmed the correct wire to wire connections with your post above. Again Thanks Kevin
