I installed the high-bar kit. I was wondering if, when the track day season rolls around and I want to re-install the clubmans, I'll need to swap the cables and lines again? I'm thinking I can probably route the excess somewhere benign and zip tie it there. Anyone know?

The clutch line is about the same length, but with a different fitting on the end.

The brake line would be the most difficult as the fitting is at a much different angle and there is another 4" of line.

The throttle cables are were I think you will have a problem. The angle out of the housing is different and the cables don't like to have much of a loop before sticking.

I suspect this would not be a simple swap back the other way.

I don't know the answer but it is a good question...

I am considering fitting high bars to my R and would like to be able to swap back to stock easily so I'll be interested in the response too..

I already have everything I need to do the conversion including a spare top tree that has risers fitted and all of the lines/cables..

I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be possible... The only sticking point i can think of would be the throttle cables..

Me and Brumbear eyeballed it when swapping the clubmans onto my crappy highbar equipped bike, it looked like it *may* work in a pinch, but it wasn't worth the risk of cables binding and everything else.
