I'm going for a ride later today, 24°F here in upstate. I currently don't have a car, and so far have ridden every day to work this year. If you are cold/hot/or uncomfortable in any way, you simply aren't prepared correctly : )

Oh, I am not even the only one on the road, last weekend I went riding with one of the locals and we took an hour ride to some lake to try watch ice racing that ended up being canceled. Tons of fun : )

The Corsa 3's aren't that great. My XB with Scorpion Syncs does much better, but it is still nothing spectacular. My Blast does absolutely fine, I believe a combination of the light weight and non-sport tires do it.

You don't? : )

It started snowing on me on my 08 1125R when I was on my way home tonight. Unfortunately I got home before it started sticking, that would of made it interesting.

As long as your tires are good, you will be fine. My stock Dunflops are balder than Bruce Willis, and I couldn't make it up my driveway tonight with a 1/4" of fresh snow on it. I had to hop off, and tilt it and rode it up on the chicken strips as that was the only part of my tire that had tread left, when I did that it was fine : )

Its got the pirelli mt75's on it there pretty new only have about 2 or 3k on em, just never thought to attempt to ride in snow. I leave the winter fun to the polaris and summer fun to the buell, even tho its only a blast and not my 25r id hate to drop it

Riding in snow!!! BOOOOOOOO.
1. You are asking to crash
2. Salt in the snow is really really bad for your bike.
3.To FN cold
4.If I can't ride like I do when its warm I don't want to.
5 It sucks.
You guys do what you like and whats fun to you but I say its not worth it.

We have had a week here so far where it was "impossible" to ride because of the snow.. And I was getting withdrawl symptoms after that short time.

Now we're in the 40s (F) again and it's lovely!

I ride in the snow too, but not the Buell - I use my GPz1100 for that. The salt is a PITA but I've coated most of the lower part of the bike with ACF-50 which just hoses off on the weekend and gets reapplied.

It's not really cold if you have the right gear...thermal layers, heated grips, balaclava etc

You can ride surprisingly quickly if you're careful/prudent..

Being stuck in traffic sucks more!

Yep : )

1. You are asking to crash

Stunting is asking to crash ; )

It's bad for anything, thats why I take my Blast, it is dirt cheap and I can get another one for next to nothing.

quote:

3.To FN cold

No such thing, I have ridden comfortably down to 7°F. If you are cold, you aren't properly equipped.

quote:

4.If I can't ride like I do when its warm I don't want to.

Yep, I do ride different in the cold, and I actually prefer the cold riding as I am less tempted to do something stupid and get into trouble.

5 It sucks.

Its great! Riding above 80°F sucks. It is easier to stay warm than to stay cool.
