Tell me, are these the best sliders for it? Should I also look into bar end sliders?

And what are the best options for undertails and Integrated tail light out there? I wanna order everything asap, so I have it all in my grubby paws when I pick up the bike in April.

Thanks!

Head on over to American Sport Bike and start buying. They have pretty much everything you will want and then some. Thats what i did and the parts are waiting for the bike to arrive this week. Second stop should be EBR (Erik Buell Racing) or first stop...

Also consider the HID headlight upgrade. It's the best bang for the buck upgrade. IMHO $50 from DDM Tuning.

I also put on the Buell Traction Hand Grips PN: 55959-02Y and really like the feel of them. When I installed the grips I put in bar ends. Just some $15 ones from the local shop.

Do they have headlights? I'm so used to lights on my Suzuki, I ride around with high beams on half the time. I was hoping these would be better

Comments on the headlights:

The stock headlights are really good. You've got 2x35W low beams, 2x35W high beams, and 2x low wattage (not sure what they are) outer markers on the front, and bright LED turn signals on the mirrors.

In the rear, at least for 08/09, you have a bulb brake light that's adequate, and bright LED turn signals.

I found them to be, by far, the best lights I've had on a stock motorcycle. I'm sure there are some better bikes out there, but compared to typical sportbike lighting, these are great.

If you want to go up from here, the following are the typical upgrade options:

- HID low beams, $150-$200 depending on the kit. You may have a bit of trouble with lighting both beams at once, and I'm working on resolving this by ganging the headlight power/ground lines together and adding a switch so I don't have the lights stressing the electrical system on a cold start. They pull a massive startup surge that's hard on the electrical system. Some people have had no trouble.
- 55W H11 high beams, ~$20/ea for Silverstars. You have to mod the base slightly (or the bulb holder) to put these in, and I wouldn't sit in traffic with them on for power/heat reasons, but nobody's really had trouble with them. They are a dramatic improvement to the high beams. You really don't want to go HID on the high beams unless you never flash them - HIDs don't like being cycled quickly and take time to come up to brightness. If you're just using the high beams for light, and not flashing at people who look like they're going to turn left in front of you, it would be possible (tight, but doable) to set up 4xHID. You'll probably have power issues if you try to start all 4 up at once.
- The outer markers can be replaced with LEDs. They're 194 bulbs, and it's easy to find aftermarket LEDs.

For the tail lights, you'll want to go to www.xblights.com and look. They have a variety of LED tail lights, including some with integrated turn signals. Look for $200-$250 depending on options. I'm personally not a fan of the integrated turn signals, but I'm riding in an area where the cars really are out to kill me.

If you ask nicely, they also have a brake light flasher for $20 they can wire in - it's still in testing, so it's not listed on the site.

Does that help?

The HID kits are only $50 from DDM and super easy to install. DHM makes awesome sliders. I have them on my bike, including the bar ends. Highly recommended.

DHM no longer makes bar ends just FWIW

The econo sliders from DHM are on my list as well. X2 on the HID upgrade from DDM Tuning for UNDER $80. No need to pay over $100 anymore ... they're all the same.

If you're getting a CR, the headlight bulbs are H7. I have both high and low beam HID off the stock wiring which handles it quite well. The ballasts DDM makes are full digital and are made to work on stock wiring since they only draw 9amps or so on startup/ignition. The fuse for the headlight circuit is 15amps so it's fine (this is on a CR; on an R you have dual low beams and dual highs so i'd suggest a relay off the battery using the stock wiring as the signal).
