Back in late '05 I switched to Drive Insurance for my two Harley's ('80 FXB Sturgis - original owner and my '03 Electra Glide). In '08 I added my new "R" to the policy. Carried full coverage on all the bikes with a $250 deductible, no tickets, no accidents, no claims, etc. For 2009 the coverage (in the Bay Area / Cali) on the Buell was $813.00 for the year. A couple of weeks ago I got my new policy renewal notice and Drive / Progressive jacked up the Buell premium to $1634.00 per year!!! What the "F"!!! I called them up and asked what was going on, their reply was we are "adjusting our rates". Told them I would be looking for a different company to do business with. Called Geico and they gave me the same coverage on the Buell for $450.00 / year. Called Drive back up and told them that they had lost my business and that I would not recommend / refer them to anyone I knew. Even my brand new 2010 BMW K1300GT with full coverage is only $760 / year. BTW it is an ubber smooth, fast, and fun long distance missile!

That's why I Went with AAA with my 73yr membership lol (I'm 21) they have me for just under $500 for the year which I'm plenty happy with.

Money talks. When we are getting bent over, if we don't take our money somewhere else, it's our own fault. Good on ya rider!

BTW, IMO Progressive sucks! When I bought my 04 ZX10R new, they wanted over 4K a year to insure me and I was over 40 and a MSF RiderCoach, no tickets.
