Looks like they cut off the tips of the swing arm and welded in the adjuster pieces.

Are those factory side fairings? (photo 2 and 3) - looks like radiators have been turned 90 degrees - (No scoops) - clean setup. Looks like the bottom photo rear tire could use a bit of air....

I may say to add some tire before adding the air, seems a bit low on rubber too.

Yes, that is the Buell racing fairing setup, it removes the fans and saves a bunch of weight.

Very nice... Is there is a slip on? Pics?

I have sent a couple emails back and forth with EBR about a couple parts that I am interested in buying. In one of my emails I asked about a slip on version of the race pipe and they replied that they did have plans for a slip on but development of it prob wouldnt start till later this year

it may sound and preform awesome, but on my street machine that maybe will see 3 track days in its life time I can't justify the price of the full system so I am hoping that once the slip on is developed that it will be priced so that the ppl like me who cant justify the price of a full system can enjoy the benifits of a exhaust R&D by EBR

At the level of craftsmanship, the full race system is well worth the money. However, regardless of the quality of the system, $1799 + tune, is a lot of money. Therefore, I’m VERY interested in a slip on version, even with what will surely be a HP decrease. For me, my bucks will go to the lower priced, Drummer or EBR slip on, with a slight preference in supporting the company founder.

"They are not the $500 accessory ones, we determined that a few months back."

Who determined? Sorry froggy but i disagree. i mean i have been going over that picture carefully. i see they have a buell sticker over the top bolt, there is a slot of the header to poke through... IMO they look like the 500 side fairings.. the pace bike definitley does not have the race fairings, those are obviously different...

even on the very front top of the fairing you can see the mounting holes for the piece that connects the 2 halfs of the fairing.. though it does look that the piece in question is not installed.

any other pictures of the pace bike?

I would have to dig it up, there was a detailed discussion showing the difference with the $500 covers, which appears to be mostly at the bottom and around the clutch puck.

Unfortunately after closely inspecting the Buell 1125R pace bike and the factory offered 'fairing lowers' I can conclusively say; these ARE not the same fairings.

At first glance they look the same but direct your attention to the left lower side - where the 'fairing lowers' angle upwards, the pace bikes fairings do not and mate nicely to the belly pan. Also the fairing lowers have TWO holes whereas the pace bike fairing clearly has THREE.

The 'race belly pan' may still be fitted with some adjustment (& cutting) but it is my hope that Buell will offer a 'streetable' belly pan to mate up with thier fairing lowers. To not do so would leave every 'fairing lowers' buyer with a somewhat unfinished project.

Froggy, very nice pics! Be careful, though, that 'toy' seat is liable to attract vitriolic comments like 'butchered' from fresno!

Seriously, though, regarding the EBR exhaust system, what does it take in terms of tuning to FEED that -- a race ecu, etc? In other words, we street riders would have to do more than just bolt it on, yes? And I expect it's loud, yes; too loud for the street?

Depends on which street I'd imagine ; )

If that is anything like the race header for the tubers it'll set off every car alarm on the block in the city. The EBR site of course states emphatically that the system is not for street use.

And yes you would need a $250 Race ECM to calibrate the engine to the new flow characteristics.

Looks like the headers would be good, and probably help a lot performance wise, and then for the street add a more quiet muffler/ silencer...REX

Rex, +1 and I wrote a little about my thoughts on quieting loud mufflers in the recent "FMF core" thread below. If I had the money I would definitely go that way. Bob
