Which is best???? Seems like the TM is more tailored your bike since they ask you for octane, exhaust type and mileage when ordering? They are about the same price so what should i chose?

I would go with EBR. I would rather support the man with his name on the airbox

Poor question. Why alienate either party? Both EBR and TM mean a lot to this forum. I don't understand the reason for pitting them against each other this way.

not trying to pit them against each other. i'm just realizing that those 2 offer the same product, and i want the best for my needs. i'm leaning towards tm simce i know they stand for great products. but on this issue i need an ecm that removes the dead spots in the register around 3800 that the jardine and k&n made worse.

No they don't. EBR has an excellent premade setup for the Buell Race pipe, and TM has an excellent premade setup for the Torque Hammer pipe.

You can contact them and see if they can accommodate your needs for any other setup.

With this statement you're implying that EBR doesn't "stand for great products."

You live in Copenhagen, Denmark. Don't you think you should work with the more accessible provider for your personal needs?

oh man, this could easily turn into a verbal fist fight. Duggram why the hostile attitude? I'm asking a serious question here. And Froggy thanx for the straight up answer. And no i'm not implying that EBR stands for lesser quality just that i'm more familiar with TM's quality therefore i'm asking trying to shed some light on this matter.

So to re-ask this question: what would be the best option you think when running a jardine pipe and k&n filter. TM or EBR ecm tune?

I only know about how the EBR ECM works for me and I would go for it.

i guess the first question i have to ask is, what is the difference between the EBR ECM, and the stock, can you tune the EBR more than the stock one?

If you purchase the $750 deal from EBR it is tunable otherwise not.

Andros, apologies. Not trying to fight. Just pointing out the plain english meaning of your statement. Also, my question was sincere. Wouldn't you be better off working with a shop that you could actually get your bike to? I for one would be visiting TM a lot if they were close to me. I have a Torque Hammer with a map from Dris. I only wish I could get my bike on his dyno, but that would get pretty expensive traveling from New Mexico.

I know the folks in East Troy and the folks in Holland very well. You will need to simply decide which fits your needs best . . there is no "wrong" choice or "better" product. They are both excellent and supported by very qualified folks.

Andros, You might be better off going right to the source(s) for your answers.
An email will clear things up as to whether either have a good tune for a jardine pipe or not.
I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you choose. : )

Andros how can you ask a question like this when the NEW EBR ECMs just came out... if this is regarding the full programmable Race ECM, well then the answers easy... the Race ECM IF you can tune it ; )

But since i figure you comparing the 250.00 Race ECM to TM's tune then... its all i can say i believe its too early to tell.. theres been one review and no dyno's on the 250 Race tune... give it time.

Technically the ECM has been around for a while, just required you had a race license to pick it up.

Frog, this is getting confusing. How many ECM's are there?

The tunable one that used to require a race license.

The $250 job which is preprogrammed.

The stock one.

Any more?

The tunable one that required the license is the same as the $250 one now, and the same as the $750 tunable now. Only difference is, now you don't need the license, and depending on what you pay you either get a preprogrammed one that is locked or a programmable one that is locked.

The stock one is the only one that is different.
