hey guys, new to the forum! i bought a wrecked 1125r after my xb12r got stolen. i was gonna help everyone out and copy all of the service manuals to pdf so everyone can take a look-c when i get it all together. Question though, would it be illegal to do that? | ||

Actually making the PDF files is not illegal. Giving them away or selling them is the stuff that will get you into BIG trouble. Granted Buell does not exist anymore but H-D has a team of "suits" that would love to track you down. | ||

Also, if you look around on the net, several people already have illegal 1125 shop manuals floating around. My dealer threw in a dead-tree edition shop manual as a sweetener during the fire sale. I would have bought one anyway, so I could read it on the train and scribble in it. But thanks for asking! | ||

I already have the Service Manual, but really need to pick up the parts manual. I actually kinda like the printed version. I leave it by my chair at home and thumb through it when I'm bored during the winter. Well worth the money. | ||

I like having a printed manual but I NEED to have an electronic one. It seems that no matter how hard I try or how clean I keep everything, I manage to get grime on any manual I have. So, I started printing out any bit that I needed it when I needed it. This not only keeps the manual in good shape, but it makes placement of the pages I need much easier. I am guessing that H-D has put the kibosh on being able to buy a PDF manual, correct? | ||

I wish I could get a pdf also. I have had them for other bikes and I would just print pages as I wanted them. If I got one all greasy and destroyed I would just print another. ac | ||

+1 to wanting a PDF, it would be nice to have on my phone. I have a copy of that pirated XB manual on my phone and it has come in handy more than once while on the road. Oh, I also own the print version of that book too. | ||

Nobody can stop you and nobody will do anything. They've been trying to get other to stop and folks have just laughed them off. Buell was the firm company to do the manuals on CD and HD quickly put a cork on that one. | ||

You need the new 2010 manuals...better send the 09 manuals to me since they will be of no use to you any more  | ||
