Take a look please

I love the looks of this bellypan and would love to have one like it on my R but I can't tell if it's a manufactured piece or if it's homemade. Is anyone familiar with it?

There is a guy on here who made the belly pan by hand. You might be able to do a search and find him

That bike would look great if he took all the monster stickers off.. I like the red and black.. Green with it kills the look.
Nice belly pan.. looks metal.

I emailed thurston and got a reply. He really put a lot of time and effort into making it. It made from aluminum and has a heat shield on the back side. The nosecap is welded on. He said he started out with paper templates and worked his was up to a CAD drawing which he used for the fabrication. I would love to attempt it. Maybe a little lower tech than the CAD though.

I have had this guys thread in my bookmarks for a while. I have tossed around the idea of buying a EBR or other fiberglass pan, but just cant pull the trigger.
I have a jardine, and while I love it, I think it makes the underside look empty. I have some aluminum sheet sitting around, I may have to try this and see how it works out. I bet my co2/argon tank would make a perfect radius for the pan too, hmmmm

Another mod to add to the to do list!

I remember the "making of" thread. I always thought the Monster Energy logos clashed with the red, but otherwise very nice. A lot of effort has gone into this bike beyond the belly pan. I think I even see some unusual exhaust deflectors.

His "favorite road" is one of my fave's too, I just attack it from the other end. That's the fun way from my house to Western Reserve HD/Buell.

ya the monster stuff actually ruins the look in my opinion an otherwise slick bike looks all me too'ed with that stuff on it.

Just buy a belly pan off of ebay that looks like it will fit, make sure you get a fibreglass one and have a go. Mine came out really well. Ill take some pics on Saturday and post them up.

I wanted it to stay in place when i do oil changes, worked out a treat.

Well here are some pics

Can still carry out an oil change without having to remove the belly pan : )

I'm going to be doing something similar (buy one from eBay and try to make it fit) but I'll be looking for a "longer" one - roughly the length of the std muffler..

It'll have to wait until i get the barker exhaust though - no point in doing the work twice..

Avalaugh that is pretty clever. It looks great. Do you know what bike that came off?

When it warms up I want to have a go at making one.

It came from a LAVERDA 750S,STRIKE ???? never heard of one but i'm sure the older generation would have. It needed very little modification and just a couple of simple brackets made up.

Get on the ebay and have a go, nothing beats a custom 1 off : )

And retro parts always look good on a ultramodern bike.
