I wanted to post pics but the size limits would not allow anything you could actually see.

My friend dropped his bike when he tried to run and get it out of the rain and forgot it was on there.

Perhaps it would be best to mount two of them, one on each side of the caliper, that way you get next to no movement, minimizing the possibility of starting to ride without removal.

I been using the Grenade (mine's black) since about a month after I got my bike. Love it. Couple of thoughts:

1. It comes with a strict warning NOT to wear it on your belt (or otherwise on your person) while riding. Imagine the increased risk of injury if you go down. I usually keep mine in the panniers or backpack if I'm using them. Otherwise I will keep it on my belt, but I can't stop imagining what it will do to my hip if I land on it.

2. You can get a 4-foot "reminder cord" for about 5 bucks. It looks like a bright orange coiled phone cord and runs from the disk lock to the throttle grip. Makes it nearly impossible to forget to remove the thing.

Ian:
for posting picts that are on-line try using the \imagelink code:

''

file size and image size are then a non issue.

Make sure you use some type of reminder like the coiled cord (my favorite) or a "remove before flight" flag. MAJOR damage to your ride and yourself can result if you forget to remove it.

I use an appropriately sized padlock and long bungy cord going from the lock to the handlebars. Cheap, works and easy to store.

Ha ha CC --- I have the "remove before flight" flag on the end of my cord (it dangles from the handlebar). I didn't bother mentioning it because I didn't know anyone else would know what I was talking about . . .
