I ordered the high bar kit with my '09CR the day I picked it up- 11/27. The backorder date has changed from 12/15 to 12/31 to 1/8 from HD. I would just cancel the order and look elsewhere, but I was able to score 25% off that day. I can't ride anyway until March, but want to work on the bike. Anyone else having this problem? | ||

Not on that certain part but many other parts I have been waiting. My bike has been at dealer for a month waiting on a part and HD cant tell me when the part will come in. | ||

Ever since the announcement, the number of parts orders has skyrocketed from people trying to stock up. Similar to how right before a storm, everyone raids the grocery store. HD is slowly catching up, but they got to fufill a years worth of orders that were placed in a few weeks. I read a little while ago that the backorder for the Ulysses belt is over 120 belts. Anyway, ride with the clubmans, they are the better of the two bars, hence why they come stock  | ||

i had the high bars ordered before i picked up my bike. they were like 5 weeks back ordered. finally came in on around 11/20 and the moron broke one of the mirrors trying to install them. had to wait another few days to get that fixed. i have 300 miles on it now and i've discovered that the same moron routed the new longer clutch cable right on top of the exhaust header. melted the plastic coating around the stainless braid. i've tie wrapped my cable up to the air box inlet but don't know about the integrity of what is inside the stainless braid. now my cable is back ordered. huge bummer. my dealer ship is a very large busy shop and it sometimes took them a week to service my fatboy. i have very little confidence in their skill and they don't seem to concerned about my buell at all. anyone have any idea where i may be able to find a suitable replacement for my cable. i don't know if i want to wait on the dealership. also the morons want to say that it is a warranty issue and wouldn't order the part till they could put their eyes on it to assess the situation. told me to bring the bike in and just leave it till further notice. great huh. | ||

Micro, the clutch cable is standard brake line, you can get a custom length one from your average powersports shop. | ||

i have a set of high bars and clutch/brake lines that I installed on one of my CR's. I sold the bike to a guy at work and he wanted the clubmans. They were probably on the bike for a week. there is no way to make them work on an 1125R is there? if not I'll probably sell them. | ||

Change the R triple tree to the CR tree with the clamp setup, and measure for bar clearance to the fairing. Don't know if it'll work...but that'd be the process. | ||

Mine were ordered December 7th. but are also still on backorder. I also don't need them yet but sure would like to have them just to be sure we get them and they don't get canceled! | ||

Froggy, I can't ride with them until the snow clears, but the 50 miles I did put on them told me a higher bar was in order. I like the riding position of my '99M2 and the high bars would help replicate that. Buell seemed to come to their senses (based on just about every motorsport review I have read) and made them stock on the 2010's. Nice experiment, fail. Kirb | ||

I was thinking when I bought the CR that I'd want the higher bars, but after riding about 500 miles with the stock bars, I'm not sure I still do. It's a different riding position than I'm used to, but I've found it's a lot of fun and not as hard on my wrists and forearms as I thought it would be. | ||

I can see clubman bars on eBay but not a high bar kit..am I being dim? My spare top yoke (triple tree) arrived today (R) and it looks perfect for drilling and adding risers to. I'll probably just go that route... | ||

That kit has been backordered since the announcement. All but 30 sets. The only reason 30 sets were put in to P&A is because I needed one, and had the connections to "git 'er done", All it took was a mention that they were back ordered during lunch at "The Last Ride"  | ||

OK, so assuming the worst and the high bars go NLA... Does anyone have a 2010 part catalog that can post the throttle, brake, and clutch cable part numbers? I can go aftermarket on the bars, but would like to keep the other stuff Buell during the warranty. | ||

i must have lucked out then, i got one of those 30 sets here are the high bar part numbers bar N1002.1ATZT cables N0307.1AT N0308.1AT hydraulic hoses (these include banjo bolt and washers) clutch N0103.1T front brake H1531.1AT bar end N0010.02A8 (need 2) you will need at least the left grip. stock left grip N0050.K hope this helps oh...forgot these are NOT in the high bar kit but are nice to put on for the finished look the slot plugs for the headlight/flyscreen housing are M0177.2AT right M0118.2AT left (Message edited by nickg on January 14, 2010) (Message edited by nickg on January 14, 2010) | ||

The high bar kit is the only way to go. You ask why did Buell decide to go with them as their stock set up in 2010 and dump the clubmans? | ||

I work in a parts department if their system is anything like ours at all out ETA dates for backorder releases are just a rough estimate not a date set in stone. I have seen parts that were supposed to be released by a certain date come a month be4 or after. | ||

Can anyone check the part numbers shown above for stock? I'm just about ready to call it on the kit and use a Rizoma bar with 2010 parts. The online HD places I used to buy Buell parts don't sell them anymore. Any others? |
