Hey guys, not sure if this has been posted yet. Someone is selling a complete set of the red bodywork for a CR on ebay, no reserve and it is still below 300 as of this posting. If I had the cash available, I might be tempted to pick them up and experiment with a few red/black schemes on my black beauty. Maybe pick up some white pieces and have a black/red/white scheme. Does anyone who has a parts book want to add up what they would cost retail?

AROUND 600.00 i would guess...

The R plastics come out to 730ish the front fairing being more than that little flyscreen.
But you can find places with 20% off so then the R plastics are 580-600.00 or so...

I saw that stuff on ebay... i figure someone will get a decent deal , IF the price doesn't get blow out of proportion

$219 for airbox, $71 flyscreen, $160 tail section, $40 seat cowl, $90 fender, $60x2 for the pods. $700 total. Being used, I wouldn't pay over $450 for the set, being you can get the whole set for $630 new from some Badweb sponsors, even cheaper if they are having a sale.

On a side note, is there any market for the black plastics? I wouldn't mind having a white 1125R but am wondering if my black plastics would be worth selling or if I should just plan on boxing them up in the attic. I ask because I'd be pretty surprised if there was someone with a red or white 1125R who wanted the black plastics, whereas there are plenty of people who want the white or red plastics.

I thought I would really like an all black bike, but the scratches show up so easy that I think I may have made the wrong choice.

I'm sure the white would be the best for hiding this, but not exactly my taste in color.

Hey Kao, what I'd want for the plastics depends on what I can get a set of new white plastics for. If I can get a set of white plastics for about $600, I'd like to get about $400 for my black plastics. If the white plastics are more, then I'd want more for my black plastic. I've already had one offer on the black plastic but it was less than $400. I haven't replied to that offer yet as I'm still sourcing the white plastic.

The retail price on the parts Hogzilla quoted is $740.90, so I'd have to keep looking around to see if I can find them for that sweet deal that justa4banger mentioned he thought someone got.

The price of new plastics at a 20% off dealer like Chicago HD would run $592.72, then add local sales tax if you buy them in Illinois or shipping if you live out of state.

$400 seems very fair if they are in good shape. I plan to get a white airbox cover with the white lettering and white pod covers to "white-out" the bike and store the stock covers. I like the 2010 graphics, but I don't love them.
