Hey guys,

Any idea if this will fit my CR? I don't see why it wouldn't but Al hasn't listed it under the 1125R or CR sections for some reason.

Thank you in advance.

The CRs have an 8 pot caliper, but call Al to double tap.

Edit: I can't read so good.

Hey S1125r - the kit I listed is for the 8 piston caliper off the later XB12Ss. My concern is whether there is a fitment issue up at the bars.

Like I said, call Al. He's incredibly helpful.

And I know, I read the last line in a hurry, hence my edit.

Yep yep. I've posted on Al's section on Badweb and await his answer. Thank you anyway.

Sekalilgai - once you get the mount sorted you HAVE to do a review! Did you buy it from American Sport Bike?

Thanks

Jeff

ha!
actually sorting out what I want to do with turnsignals and mirrors. Seems like the snow reduces the pressure to git-er-done. The MC actually is one off a late model zx6R/ZX14/Connie14. Did the same on the Uly, better modulation at the 'limit' but the bit of slop up-front remains in the case of that bike. On the Uly it was actually good to get the forks to pre-compress/set a bit (06 springs) before applying more pressure.

Thanks for all the input, guys. Al posted a reply this morning:

I went ahead and ordered it and I'll report back when I get it installed. My main purpose in getting the new master cylinder is to eliminate as much of the slack at the lever as I can. OEM has plenty of power but the slack and general lack of feel can be improved.

Jjk - thanks for sharing. I look forward to your review.

Sekalilgai - What ZX-14 model years is the MC compatible with 1125s? Did you have to modify it at all or is it a direct fit? I love supporting Al at American Sport Bike (and have done so with tons of parts for my XB9), but ZX-14s are a dime a dozen so if there is a huge price disparity...

AFAIK all ZX-14s have the same (great) brakes.

+1 on what Kevin_Stevens re the ZX14 AFAIK,
mine apparently came from a 08 ZX6R.... (it was an experiment 'buy' based on internet info), ditto on generally trying to support American Sport Bike but I was partially trying to verify parts-interchange info for the future.

No mods but you might have to get creative with mirror mounts. I am thinking about going with different mirrors so it didn't matter too much.

I forgot, with the highbars, the brake switch leads need to be extended a couple of inches.

Well, I tried to fit the new master cylinder yesterday but since the brake line mounts to the bottom of the new master cylinder instead of in front like OEM, it will require a new line. I'm working with Al to see if he can get me a custom line.

And believe me - I tried all sorts of different routings for the stock line and none of them worked.

I'll keep you updated.

Is the banjo on Buell OEM rotatable like aftermarket brake lines?
