Now I need to determine what shim I will need. For the rear jug. Intake: 1. .005 2. .005 Exhaust: 1. .01 2. .011 For the front jug Intake: 1. .005 2. .005 Exhaust: 1. .008 2. .009 I'm not certain on how to calculate what I need.   Cataract2 Posted on Wednesday, January 06, 2010 - 01:24 pm:        Gah, I just realized where my mistake is. When I pulled mine (ALL tight) from the rear, the shim number is obliterated from the valve stem pounding on it, so I have no numbers to go by. I've spoken to a nearby dealer, he says they have a good stock, we can just measure the actual thickness to get what I need. Then I get to start all over with the front.. NOTE...if you remove the shims from one cylinder...DO NOT turn the crank shaft. The followers will dig into the retainers on the "other" cylinder. Not a good idea. So I don't see me being able to place the order for them before the other stuff gets shipped. I will just bite the bullet and go to PPHD for the being they are VROD shims. As much as I hate going there. Oh, did I mention that when PPHD did the warranty work on my bike that they somehow overtightened my idler pulley bolt and stripped out the torx threads? So, now I gotta cut the damn thing off and replace it. Grrrr....
