As you all know when driving around normally both the parking lights and low beams are on. I would love to somehow be able to drive around with ONLY the parking lights on and then with the flick of a switch go to normal low beams. Any ideas on a good solution for this?

My question to you is why would you want less visibility?

I agree with Vic but u are going to have to put it on a toggle or I guess you could buy the Uly right side switch assembly and use the heated grip switch as a low beam cut off switch. Just a thought, oh and make sure use the switch on the ground side of the headlight.

I plan on doing something similar on my XB, I was going to rig a small toggle switch up to the lowbeam line.

I mounted two toggle switches on my old Bandit. They were great for when I needed to disappear at night. I had one switch for the headlight and another for offing the tail, brake, and plate lights. So if you spliced a toggle into your low beam line it would do what you want (like others said). I get having no lights, but I don't get having less light. So I ask why?

That's dumb. When your on a tiny ass motorcycle it just might be that flicker of headlight that someone notices and doesn't pull out in front of you or cut you off. There's been times I'v glanced and pretty sure I wouldn't have noticed the bike if not for the head light.

That is great that you have that opinion, but it isn't you or your bike. If he wants to turn his headlight off, then let him. It isn't legal anywhere I know, but that doesn't stop people from doing half the crap their bikes like pipes and tunes.

+1 Froggy!
It's his bike, let him mod it the way he wants...

I certainly didn't think him dumb nor did I propose the question for him to get bashed in any way. The negativity on this board is discouraging sometimes we are all here for a common reason. Show some love. It could be a useful reason for sure.

I go 180deg from him but, to each his own. A word of caution you are violating state and federal by not having your low beam on.
