Hey Buellers,

Sorry if you're a member of another forum and saw this post ... I'm just trying to be as informed as possible.

I'm was going to get an '09 1125CR in black on Monday but I didn't put a deposit on it and it got sold. So I put one down on the last '09 CR in red. $6,000 OTD, going to pick it up Monday.

Before I get down there, I want to go with all the information that I can get (I currently ride on an '03 XB9R Firebolt). So here are my questions:

1.) What recalls should be done on the '09 models? Same indicator problems as the '08s?

2.) Is the latest flash for the '09 CRs 152? Or is there another flash out there that's better.

3.) Should I adjust the suspension to my weight (I'm about 6'3" tall, probably 265 lbs all geared up) before I take it for a test ride, or should I just go how it's set up?

4.) Any other information (recalls, things I should ask) when I down? Any warranties I should take care of?

I REALLY appreciate all your help, and I'm stoked to be a new CR owner come Monday night. They're only offering my $1,750 for my 'Bolt, so I'm keeping it and selling it (hint hint!).

BTW!! If anybody has a black '09 CR that wants to trade for my red plastics, I'm looking to do a straight up trade.

Thanks again!

1. nope
2. yep, love the 152 (see "cr 152 flash quantified" thread for before/after dyno charts on my bike)
3. absolutely. And unless you like HARD settings, set it for one weight range lighter than you are.
4. only one on early build 09's is a front brake line recall. Make sure the line is routed *outside* the fork, not *between* the forks.

Should still come with 2 year/unlimited mile warranty.

I like the red better. Give the red a chance!

Make sure they know you want the M3PUS152 flash, otherwise they may just load whatever is current on their digital technician.

I know I really can't wait ... just hope the weather gets a little nicer so I can at least get the first maintenance out of the way before it's gets wintery 24/7 around here.

I'm hoping the red grows on me ... the black touches me in a special place, but the red ain't a bad looking bike either my friend. I think I'm gonna like it

If you want the dealer to setup the suspension for a test ride call it ahead. It takes about 10 minutes to do and I know I would appreciate it if the person let me know ahead of time rather than on the spot.

Take some of the money you saved on the purchase price of the bike and buy a set of black plastics. You can change em around, mix and match, really express yourself. : )

Nice pic Mark. That's a good angle for the CR. Wish we had those blue skies here in the Sunshine state! It's been crappy for 4-5 days.
