I was on SoloBuell's website and came across the solo seat conversion. Has anyone purchased this yet? If so, has is the fit and flow of the bike lines? It seems to "pick up" the rear of the bike to offset the front, but I figured someone may have experience with this kit.

Thanks,

I saw this thread too, but the website shows a different tail section. The kit online dosen't have the mesh inserts and includes a different airbox.

I think it looks pretty good and improves the looks of the rear of the bike. Makes it look like less of an after thought and it gives you more support too. Off the top of my head the top of the seat is 40mm.

I've not see any of their fiberglass products first hand but they look well made from the photos.

If you just want a one piece tail without the vents:

http://www.solobuell.com/en/sb/buell-1125r/fiber-p arts/free-spirits/xbr-and-1125r-cr-fibreglass-solo -seat

Very reasonably priced too !

Specially as I have short legs and as the body kit raises the rear end it would make the bike too tall for me !

What I really like is this :

http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp? guid=YXHFSC&aid=285&cid=315&s=&a=

but I suspect that it includes a new rear subframe and as it is designed for XBs it probably won't fit 1125 models without substantial modifications ...

only thing, looking at the solo seat - itd be nice if you could still access the storage area underneath

i love the tall back of it though

I emailed SB and they said you use the same seat, the tail section is just wider to balance out the width of the front end.
I think it looks better without the vents too.

Hi

Thank you for your comments...

Unfortunately, the FreeSpirits kits and the RaceSpirits parts can't be sold overseas. One of the rules of the dealer's contract say that the sales to USA and Canada are not possible because for the warranty terms.

You have an alternative with the Eskalation kit...

http://www.solobuell.com/en/sb/buell-1125r/fiber-p arts/eskalation/1125-r-cr-air-scoops-esk

For solo seats and other kits for the 1125, the alternative can be Frank Parts or Lorandi Resine ...

Regards!

This exhaust looks like it really hangs low. Way low in the front after the header pipes, then shoots back up at the tips. It would look better if the cans were more level.
