I would like to make my '08 R more visible from the rear...the small oval taillight is not very reassuring in traffic. I was thinking about incorporating flexible LED strips with a dual intensity element onto the rear hangars for running/brake/signal lights, but the cost of these LED's seems outrageous www.radiantz.com Any ideas for more visibility are welcomed or direction to a more reasonably priced sponsor would be great...thanks!

Have you checked out http://www.xblights.net/ ?

I know it might not fall under your cheap definition, but I have one on my 1125R and love it. It's really bright and makes you much more visible from the rear. Going to look into adding it to my XB in the future.

Thanks Cataratct2 and Pwillikers...I probably will get a xblights taillight in the near future, but was looking for more lights in addition to that. All the times I've looked at that store it never dawned on me to look there for some reason...thanks guys

Here's what I did for about $15.00(below). Two red w/clear lens 9 led bulbs from Auto Zone, a couple of little tubes and screwed to my custom license plate bracket. Very bright only when brake light comes on.

The Radiantz ones will work as brake or turn with their little $5.00 circuit. The ones I have seen were VERY bright!
