2008 1125r - 1,400 miles - only three weeks old - There appears to be fluid dripping off of the bottom of the rear brake actuator onto the exhaust. Has this been noted by other Owners? Does Buell have a Bulletin on the repair? I'm taking it in next week for the clutch weep fix and just want to know as much as possible prior to going in. | ||

Never heard of a rear brake leak, honestly. An overfill condition can cause one if the brake is getting really hot, but the res for the rear brake is all the way up under the seat and has a long rigid alum line that would do a pretty good job of cooling the fluid... Can you tell where the fluid is originating? Might be the reservoir hose into the MC... I know mine came from the factory with that little metal clip rotated incorrectly and it actually rubbed a little groove into the swingarm. | ||

don't feel bad, both of my front resiviors are weeping...my vin sticker on the frame is now almost erased. at the dealer now. it's no big deal, but at 38 miles on the bike, i not really expecting that. I also have a rear tire leaking at the bead when cold so i might be seeing a new rear wheel and tire(again, that is an odd one) | ||

It may not be brake fluid... from the master cyc. Check the clutch cover, and look for any signs of a weep or seepage of fluid. If there is evidence. DON'T PANIC. It's easily fixed but you may be without your ride for a bit while the newly revised parts come in. Check it over well. It may not be this, but originally I thought the same when my clutch cover started weeping. | ||

it's both sides on mine...no big deal though, it has a warranty and it will be taken care of i am sure | ||

Check for the cap on the rear reservoir.. apparently on my bike, it didn;t have one when the mechanic started his work for the rear rocker cover gasket.. It had fluid in it, but the leak i had wasn't from the reservoir... |
