hey all- I bought a used FMF slip on and plan to install it tonight. The person I got it from didnt have the instructions. I know it seems like a no brainer but I would like to check out the official instructions if anyone is motivated to scan and PM me or just post here. thanks, todd | ||

seems like the spacer belongs between the oil cooler mount and the front pipe mount is this right? mines a pretty tight fit thanks | ||

Todd, that little spacer (silver metal cylinder, right?) goes between the frame and the bracket on the muffler. The original left front bolt/nut combo goes right back in place after you take the stock muffler off to hold the oil cooler in place. If I remember correctly, the FMF mid-pipe gets bolted through on the right side with just a bolt/nut combo. The muffler is held installed with the bolt through the frame, then the spacer, then the muffler bracket, then the nut. Finally, put the springs in place. FMF recommends high-temp silicone on the headers where the mid-pipe installs, and again on the mid-pipe where the muffler installs. Hope this helps, Ron | ||

My FMF seems to ride a little too close to the swingarm--nearly resting on the brake line. Anyone else experience this? I have been living with it for a while, but would like to get more clearance. I have tried adding washers to the spacer and taking em all out--muffler seems to end up in the same place after a ride. It's pretty strange. | ||
