Has anyone else had this same situation...I had the "clutch leak" on my 2008 1125R develop at 600 miles Took the bike to my dealer and it was allegedly repaired. I now have 1100 miles and it's leaking just as bad again. Clutch fluid squirts out of the weep hole when I pull in the clutch lever. I'm not sure who to be disgusted with, the dealer or this bike. I really enjoy riding this bike..when it's running.

How long ago was the first repair? There's a new version of the seal/piston kit available now, it came out in the late summer of this year. Maybe August/September?

Mine went out 4 times before it was finally done correctly (that is, with the updated parts, which were still in development the first three times). Make sure you get the updated kit, which I believe includes a stainless steel sleeve, whereas the earlier sleeve was aluminum IIRC.

I had the bike repaired in early October of this year. I would assume the updated kit was installed. I'm guessing it wasn't.

The 09 clutch slave/kit is what finally fixed mine.

I was going through a bottle of dot 4 a week there for a while, even to the point I had to carry it under seat.

I got the Rev C cover on my bike last week. So far so good. If you haven't gotten it yet, do so. Also, if your cover is messed up from the fluid, request that they warranty that also.

I can relate man. I have a 2008 1125r had for 3 weeks. Asked the dealer to show me the clutch update before I bought it and it was done.

Had the bike for 2days and it was leaking. Needless to say I was not happy. Dealer took it and gave it back to me 5 days later after not geting all the parts the first time. NEVER TAKE ANYTHING TO GOVER HD IN PIQUA OHIO.

Got that porb fixed but no the speedo sticks at zero when ever it wants.

I am currently waiting on parts for my second change. I queried what happens if it breaks once the bike is out of warranty (1 year over here, first weep was at 7 months) and they said they would cover it, but the parts girl I dealt with has left. It is now at 13 months so I will see what happens.
