I still want to hear the Ti race... just for giggles...

Yep this is it just talked to Nole or Noel at FMF. Dont know how to spell anyways slip on 549.99 plus 20% off of that. Titanium or Carbon.

No tune necessary just get the updated flash from the dealer and this slip on we should be good to go gents.!!

Nice.
Thanks for that.
Seems pretty quiet also, might be a winner.

How well does it work with stock ECM, no tune?

I am in California and anyone who doesnt know there is a 49 state flash at dealers and a California flash. I found out here in California that a guy has had a current flash done and a FMF slip on so far fueling is good.

Correct me if I am wrong it might be even better with a 49 state flash and this pipe.

Anyone have any info about cornering clearance here? Looks like it might be affected, but it's very hard to tell from pictures.

Good catch Kevin! My wheels are spinning now. Need to know corner clearances. I wonder how the Jardine is?

I heard some complaints in archived threads about the Jardine at the track, that's why I was asking. I have enough to worry about on a race track when I have the tires *on* the ground.

This whole deal is a kick in the balls for me:

I've been looking for a lighter exhaust for my track bike. My dealer ordered a couple of days ago. Basically, one day before the discount was announced.

FMF shipped, and now refuses to honor the discount program because I ordered 1 day before it was announced.

I haven't paid for it yet, but the only one I'm really stiffing is my dealer. But, I'm about to pay full price for something on sale : (

I guess I feel a little of the pain of those who bought an 1125r right before the Buell closure.

Anyone have information on the dyno run charts for the FMF exhaust? Any input is appreciated.

The Jardine was redesigned thanks in large part to Jersey_Thunder here, who destroyed the old model on the track. I've heard no complaints about the new model (it's a little shorter and is mounted a little closer), but perhaps Jersey could tell us more.

I have to admit I don't have the skills to test that kind of lean angle yet. I suppose if someone wanted to see on a stationary bike, a couple guys could lower it and see whether the pipe touches before the peg . . .

And, frankly, shame on any manufacturer who doesn't do this.

I realize most people buy a pipe with the primary priority being more noise, but still, some basic engineering should go into these things.

I am a fat ass and I don't hang off the bike as much as I should, so clearance is always of interest to me. I dragged the fairing lower on my ZX-14 at Buttonwillow.

Interested in more info on the FMF as it looks and sounds nice otherwise - though I prefer baffled to packed pipes.

That's not unusual on that bike. On the left side the lower fairing protrudes unusually, and the bike is frankly undersprung stock.

I've seen a lot few of those bikes scuffed up there....

Right side, but yes. Mine's not stock sprung though; Racetech front and Ohlins rear. : )

I just spoke with a customer service rep at FMF. She was very friendly and professional...

Q: Does the Apex require repacking?
A: Yes

Q: At what intervals?
A: Every 10 - 15,000 miles. There is a repack indicator sticker that will tell you when a repack is required.

Q: I noticed the end cap is riveted, do I have to drill the rivets when repacking?
A: Yes, but you actually drill the rivets and remove the FRONT CAP when repacking. The repacking kit comes with new rivets.

Q: What is the repacking kit part number and its price?
A: 012441 and $59.99

She also told me that the pipe is currently on backorder until 12/7.
