Blake, delete this thread if you wish. I personally don't see a problem with it since back order is so long.

If there is enough interest in a aftermarket noid plug, I will make up a batch. I should be able to ship them out within two weeks.

I thought about doing this too, but $6 from Buell is such a great price I didn't see enough profit to make it worth my time.

Are you planning on supplying the plugs, or are you going to ask people to mail the plugs cut off their noids to you?

I figured I would supply the plugs and would have to charge about $10 shipped to make it worth the time and expense. Mailing them back to me would work, but that might introduce problems and wouldn't save much.

if you throw in "de-noiding" instructions with pix, i'll take one!
after searching all the forums here, i'm confused about the whole thing.

Denoiding is nothing more than pulling air box off, remove the cable from the throttle body pulley, 2 jam nuts, and the solenoid itself is just a 30Torx screw same as the airbox cover bolts, unplug it, plug in resistor. Thats it One bolt and a jam nut.

I just denoided mine using the factory resistor. It took about 2 weeks to get the part. Personally I would just disconnect the throttle cable for now and then remove the entire thing when the factory part comes off backorder.

I removed just the solenoid and left bracket installed. The bracket is also the mouning hole for the rear airbox bolt.

I just removed the cable. I will never notice a few extra pounds on a bike with this kind of power

What you personally see a problem with and the Rules of the Board are two different things.

Please respect Blake's decision, This is his house.

Vtwinbuell,

Thank you for your efforts, but maybe folks could simply ask blake before post this kinda stuff.

Maybe American Sport Bike still has a few more.

Just disconnect the cable and lock the t-bodies boys and girls...no need for a resistor unless you just have to loose 777grams of weight!

Better yet, go on a diet (rider)!

Sorry for offending some people on this board, I do not intend on taking any sales from sponsors, the part is not currently available, it has been stated by multiple members about multiple sellers.

We all realize that the plug just stops a CEL? It doesn't effect how the noidectomy will work in any way.

As far as instructions, just open the airbox up and it will all become painfully obvious what to do. It's really not hard.

MM, I finally plugged in the MM version in the other day, since I found it in my toolbox. Funny, I can't tell the difference???? Oh yeah, I already disconnected the cable and tied the linkages together, hmmm LOL.

I'm outta here.............

Funny, I brought up just disconnecting the noid a couple months ago and got trashed for that too.

Oh and buy your oil filters from the sponsors, they have them in stock.

It's good to see the plugs are available. American Sport Bike offers a lot of great products and we appreciate your support of the Buell riders.
