For a bit of perspective...I've owned about 20 bikes in the last 10 years. Most were Japanese, 1 Triumph, & this is my 3rd Buell. My current stable is a 2005 CBR600F4i & and a 2009 Buell 1125. Almost all my riding is quick corner carving. I'm not the fastest guy on 2 wheels, but I can usually hang with the front of the group.

First impressions:
--The 1125 handles COMPLETELY different from the F4i. The F4i is more beginner friendly, the 1125 has far more capability.
--It feels like a Superbike.
--It pulls HARD. More power than I'll ever need.
--Suspension bits and chassis are truly excellent.
--I love the intake sound.
--The Helicon is a tiger, the F4i motor now seems like a pussycat.
--It feels tall, like I'm sitting on top of it rather than in it. I'm going to get a Corbin to slightly change the riding position.
--It's uber-stable to the edge of the tires on high-speed sweepers.
--I was faster on tight technical roads on my XB9S and XB9SX, but in fairness I rode them for 40k vs just 1k on the 1125. I expect more speed will come.

My only complaint so far is that oil changes are a PITA. Who designed that filter cover???

I'm very happy with my 1125R purchase.

I agree with what you say. After riding mine last weekend I realized my 675 is down right uncomfortable.Just having problems getting use to the sound of the twin at low rpm's.
