I was just curious if there was ever a successful example of a CR being lowered?

I'm certain that someone, somewhere, has lowered one. What effect it had on the handling, I cannot say.

What is your purpose in wanting to lower it? Is it SLS (short leg syndrome), a desire to go drag racing, or style?

There was an extensive, heated thread on this subject within the last week or two, but the bottom line is that many of us strongly recommended against any change to the suspension geometry as you could quickly make the handling unstable and dangerous with even relatively modest changes which would work on the average bike.

SLS. I did a search on lowering a CR but came up empty. Do you have a link for it?
