WE NEED CASE SLIDERS.

i've seen the clutch puck be vaporized
http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/507731.html

and the left engine casing puck has been unanimously deemed worthless.

there is a market for them, especially with all the new 1125's sold recently.
Buell made oem frame pucks for the XB frame, and engine case sliders were not as necessary, but still available. there's even crash cages from powerstuntworx!
is it too early/late/much for us to want similarly for our 1125's ?!?!

this is the most concise thread i found concerning this needed product
http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/507731.html

but i feel like there's gotta be more out there! someone else can make a product to do the job. i know it can be done!

the engine case is not cheap, and neither is the clutch.
the www.racetaylormade.com CF covers is a less-expensive alternative, but 140 a pop is not 'chump-change' by any stretch of the term.
-not to say their products are not of the highest quality, or bad-mouth them in any way- for example; their covers are actually mandated by World Superbike rules.
wait they aren't a sponsor, so if i wanted to i could slam them with out consequences, right?

so i'm thinking: billet/derlin/kevlar-CF/molded plastic resin/epoxy/hydro-formed or drop-forged steel....... ______any other options?______

SO who can get out there and make this happen?
i have none of the professional equipment to get this done, and neither do most of us.

however comma i will look locally, and i am asking you all to do the same so we can all benefit form this

Nill -

That's funny...
Nothing derogatory intended...but
You apparently don't have much in the way of costing for making one off or short run items like this.
Especially like a clean, excellent fitting, well made case cover. (And no, I have no affiliation with Taylor Made).

Just break down and get the Taylor Made covers.
I can guarantee you...if you started from scratch...on a cover like that, you could buy eight to ten Buell covers per side... to engineer, build a first run then build parts to sell.
