By the time my flu-sick kids were asleep last night, it was too late to take the 09R out. But it did give me a chance to tinker - One of my favorite things about owning a Buell.

Did the de-noid w/ resistor plug, installed the quick-release seat pin kit, took the rear reflectors off, and devised a way to not have fuel dripping (vent tube) on my garage floor.

The Diag thing is pretty cool as well. Mine looks spot on from what I've read here on BWB. TPS is 2 - 100 percent, 0.4 to 3.9V. AFV(F) is 100 and AFV (R) is 105. Ready for a ride today!

Yes, Diag Mode is awesome.
The very first ECM/IC combos showed you the coolant temp as the motor warmed up.
That feature went away with the late 08 ICs but you can still monitor it by going into DM.

As soon as you start moving, you drop out of DM tho.

Glad you're finally getting to ride.

Zack, it was actually some of your older (archived) post that got me interested in the AFV numbers, and Diag option in general. So thank you! So is the 105 (R) meaning the bike is adding or subtracting fuel to that cylinder ; ) Sorry couldn't resist ...

Another thing I did last night that only a Buell fan would appreciate ... Laid on the floor with a flashlight just looking at some of the bike's details. Call me crazy, but the more I see and play with the bike, the better the rides seem. Vicious circle!

Hm! First I've heard of diag mode.

I've been searching around for instructions on how to enter diag mode, but have found nothing.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

with the key off, hold down both toggle and mode while turning the key on.

Toggle through a bunch of interesting and useful information with the toggle button.

I have also laid on the floor looking at the details with a flashlight! You have to appreciate the beauty of it.

You can enter DM either by going to RUN or PARK.
This is VERY useful when there is a possible battery condition problem.
Go to DM in PARK - no headlights - look at voltage, it should drop VERY slowly to not at all.
Go to DM in RUN, lights come on and add a 5-7 Amp load, voltage will drop slowly.
If the battery is dying, the voltage will drop quickly.

Tidbit

Yes, AFV of 105 is adding fuel.

Glad y'all are having fun, I still go out to the garage and just stare at Loretta.
She'll be 2 years old next month.
