Pretty straight forward install. Nothing tricky. I drilled 3 holes in the lower cowl to let some light through from the taillight to illuminate my tag ...

Can you snap a pic from behind? I am trying to get an idea of how wide the signals are.

Hmm...signals are still pretty far apart. That is probably good for visibility though.

Looks good, much better than stock. The biggest improvement is probably from the side. I bet it makes the bike much shorter and compact looking.

It would be nice if they were a little shorter. When I chopped my XB tail I moved the front signals to the back since the front stalks were shorter. Perhaps these could be modified and shortened ... I didn't mess around with them to check that.

Be aware that some states have a minimum separation for MC turn signals. I live in Virginia (land of annual safety inspections) and we have idiotic laws. You're not required to have any turn signals -- you can remove them from your bike and still pass inspection. But if you do have them, they must be as far apart as "practical" and not less than 9" apart -- or you fail inspection.

Looks good to me! At the risk of hijacking your thread, what's under the car cover in the first pic ... Car with slotted mags and Hoosier tires?

I'm looking at eliminators, but I have the Buell soft bags, and almost by definition they move the signals (and therefore the bags) forward. Anyone have an eliminator installed with these bags and a report on how they work together?

SWEET - Even a lifelong GM fan, and occasional Mopar owner, like me can appreciate a classic Grabber in that condition! That is a great looking car ... But you already know that.

I use the Jardine unit and bags, but not the Buell ones (Nelson Rigg). They work fine; you just have to place the bags forward of the blinkers. I don't think the position of the blinkers front to back or side to side --- is appreciably changed by the use of the Jardine. Maybe someone else can correct me if I'm wrong . . .

I measured another eliminator - not the Jardine - and it moved everything forward about an inch. The issue is where the mounting straps go across the top and under the cowl - there's not a whole lot of adjustment possible there, and what there is, is mostly rearward.

Hmmm.

I just installed mine tonight...A couple of notes.

The stock holder used three bolts, the Jardine uses one. Still seems plenty strong, but do not strip the single bolt!

Also, my right turn signal wire is not long enough to reach...Even if I use the left hole for the wire to go through...Thinking it would be a shorter distance. About 1" too short! Not a biggie, just need to add wire...But I am waiting for new turn signals anyway...Mine were DOA.

Anyone else use one of these??

Patiently waiting for my HMF slip on and K&N! Ebay for $375 shipped...Might as well try it!

I had no issues with the wire lengths on my install. Pretty sure the wires are going through basically the exact same spot as the factory piece did. I also noticed my rear flashers had the white tape on them which is supposedly the GOOD flashers that don't fail.

I was a little skeptical about the single bolt ... but it is plenty strong and I put some Blue Loctite on it for good measure.

Good idea with the Loctite...Mine do not have any white tape...It is an 08' (leftover).

Not sure what the deal is with the wire length...I'll check it when the new signals come in.

Thanks!

The reason one wire seems too short is that the instructions have the sides mixed up (right to left & vice versa). Install it on the other side --- the colors will be wrong --- and it works perfectly. Hit the turn signal and you will see that right = right & left = left.

Maybe it is just an install error by me? Anyone else??

From all of the race work I have done over 12 years or racing...Motor swaps, etc...I don't know how I could screw this up, but I have done dumber things! LOL

Did you route the connector wires off the main harness the same way they were originally routed? Not only are mine long enough but there was definitely slack as well.

My harness is so short I am lucky if the right side connectors even make it through the subframe towards the trunk!

It's been a while since I did this mod, and reading what I wrote it looks like I described it wrong. The blinker wires are, IIRC, the same length; it is the BIKE'S wires that are unequal length, and you simply plug the blinker into the other wire.

With the blinker installed, if it won't reach to the wire you expect (the one of matching color) plug it in to the other one. The wire color will be counter-intuitive --- you will think you are plugging the right-side blinker into the left-side wire. but when you hit the right turn signal, the right-side blinker will fire.
