I had the old flash and the bike ran like a raped ape then had the 141 put in and lost alot of mid range hp. from say 4000 to 7500. was wondering if there was a way to get the old flash back in it.

The only answer that I have gotten from the dealer is: NO.

They plug the bike into the Harley system, and it does whatever the most current flash is. No way to do a previous one.

Maybe you could pull the EPROM from an older flash bike and load it on yours?

The only way u are going to get the old flash back is to find a dealer that hasn't updated their Tech II/digital tech. That's going to be pretty slim chance of finding that dealer. Have u called Buell CS?

Is that possible? If so - could we freely swap Eprom's (from the same model and year of course)? For example; could I swap out my orginal flash for the latest flash with if someone sent me a copy of thier latest flash Eprom?

I was just going to mention that. The AFV was reset when they flashed it. Mine is 105/105. Give yours time and it'll probably increase and you'll have your beast back.

I'm pretty sure you can load the eeprom with ecmspy, not sure if you can load any old eeprom though. If anyone wants a copy of my eeprom feel free to pm me. I think I have the 12z flash on my 09cr, but it maybe 131 for all I know, not sure which numbers go with which model.

Hmmm, haven't seen map error yet. I had IAC error and low fuel error when i got the bike. They might have caused that error when they were flashing the bike. I'd just clear it and see if it comes back. Does the bike run ok?

Map is Mass air pressure sensor, in case you didn't know. You'll need ecmspy and cable to clear the code.

ECM and IC marry after 30 minutes.
I have heard that can be bypassed, but have not SEEN it done.

What you CAN do is get a dump of an older flash and go thru yours line by line and change it.
With an unnamed software package.

You CAN'T load a whole EEPROM and there is a limit to the number of changes you can do at one time, but it can be done.

Still have map error after my 134 mile ride today and vaiues for frt and r are still 100 100 and I was told it can take 500 to 600 miles for those to change. but maybe it has to do with the map error as well
