I'm totally missing something easy i'm sure...

I got the traction grips, plus some new sliders i want to put on. BUT i can't get the ends to "pop" off like someone suggested. I've pushed and pushed... Maybe i need to cut them open on the end? I just want to make sure they don't rub/interfere with the throttle especially.

There's a nice ring that looks like where i should open it up, but with the Buell writing i don't want to mess it up and make it look like crap.

I'm going to go look at some circular cutting blades at the store... maybe 7/8 or 1"?

suggestions or tips? Thanks guys!

I just used a new small Exacto type blade and cut open the grip ends.
Then to make sure the throttle didn't drag, I used a rotory rasp to open the end of the grip so it was a full slip fit but still close enough to not look like crap.
The left side received the same treatment.

The opening ends up just into the white plastic ring.

Not sure why Buell didn't do this..!?
