Having a hard time getting the bolts off off of the front of my stock muffler. Its the 2 bolts right below the cooler. I can spin the blot with my allen key but the nut on the other side just spins and it seems impossible to get anything on it to stop it from spinning. The dealer said he remembers that he shoved a screwdriver up near the nut to stop it from spinning..tried that and it still spins!

HELP ME PLEASE!

If I remember right a 13mm end wrench should fit up there to hold the nut. Wasn't difficult, just had to find it with the angled end.

Try a 13 mm socket on a wobbler or a u-joint from the throttle(right) side on a long extension.
I torch-bent a box-end wrench 90* so I could get at that nut.

What bolts do you put back into the cooler holes after taking that pig of an exhaust off?

Hey guys, I've got another problem trying to get my stock exhaust off:

Here is what I've done:

The problem is, the exhaust doesn't move an inch!

Am I forgetting about another screw that keeps the exhaust in place?

cheers!

just look around the bike that hold the muffler in. there is one in between the belt tensioner wheel on the other side and then 2 bolts right next to the clamps behind the oil cooler.

Don't forget the little right angle tab at the left front. It has its own bolt to the engine and the main bolt passes through it.
