Hi all; Does anyone own the large tailbag or the side bags offered by Buell? I'm curious if they are large enough to hold a full face helmet etc... Opinions? ...
thanks!
Dave

I do not have the Buell tail bag, but this Mini-Beta bag from Wolfman Luggage is about 45 liters ( 12 gal. ) and it will hold a full face helmet with room to spare. There is a Beta bag from them that will probably hold two.

Ah, Dave! I see you asked the same question on Yahoo. That photo above is the bag system I referred you to over there. This is a good photo because you can see what it'd look like on your bike.

How much do the Buell saddlebags hold? Is there an unsightly bracket left when the bags aren't installed? Waterproof?

I'm wondering if I can sport tour for a week at a time on my 1125R with those bags and perhaps a Axio hard backpack. Hmmm..I once did a four day trip on my Duc 900ss with only a small fanny pack?

Greenflash: The bags currently labeled as being for the 1125R and Firebolt have NO permanent brackets. They mount with straps and velcro.

Volume for said bags can be found on the Buell website: http://tinyurl.com/65wdbn

Thanks, Jaimec;

I'll see if I can find a set at a dealer to check out in person before I buy. The factory bags on my old '97 Cyclone sagged a lot, but these apparently have an integral stiffener.
