1) do not scratch, break or mangle while modifying
2) remember you are not an engineer and BUELL knows what they are doing

3) remove reflectors, warning stickers
4) set suspension for my weight
$) buy solenoid resistor, install, remove solenoid, lock linkage
6) KandN intake filter
7) FMF slip on
8) find a ready to go remap for ecm and plug it in.
9) WHOOOO I have been waiting forever to buy this bike and..... ride it like i stole it!!!! (kinda feel like i did steal it)

I have been lurking here for a while waiting to buy this bike and this is my best, most simple plan I could come up with. wadda ya think? any suggestions for a map? any other must do mods for you guys?

oh and fender eliminator, I have an XB12R I am parting out. did someone use pieces from an XB_R's tail on their 1125? pics? i need to search tail tidy

UNSCREW the %&$^-ing pins on the bottom of the foot pegs! No reason to have the pegs drag the ground any sooner than they have to!

Cheapest and best "performance" mod you can do!

I got the Evo-tech tail tidy, solid piece, easy install, looks good, not cheap.

Removing reflectors could lead to citations.

Lots of recent threads on mods, browse a minute or two ...

I, too, would like to get a pre-done map for the stock bike that optimizes performance without regard to passing EPA emissions (for competition, off-road use only, of course).

Everyone seems to think that we should want to screw around customizing our fuel maps. I don't. I just want to load a map into it and ride. I also don't believe that it's *necessary* to tweak the map for each bike. The factory loads the same map into each bike, so why not just load a better one? If I gain "only" 10.7hp instead of the 10.9hp I could have gained with untold hours of tweaking, I'm okay with that.

Eventually, someone will make a box that plugs into bikes and performs analysis while we ride. Then it could develop it's own optimized fuel map that could be burned after you park and hit a button. Until then, I just want a pre-tested, better performing map.
