For what its worth guys; After about four oil changes I finally put in a new one. After three still no leaks what so ever. Also still on the original copper oil plug washers. I am careful on not over torquing them.

Also watch for aftermarket "o" rings that might deteriorate if not the right kind of material. Most are Burna N type now that oil does not affect. Just some thoughts FWIW. Bob

Parts Unlimited and Tucker Rocky are two of the biggest Motorcycle parts distributors in the US. Here is a link to Tucker Rocky noting that the HF564 Hi FLo filter will fit our Buell's.

Link might not work properly just find ps rider shortcut go to item search type hf564 and wa la. Click on 140564 and it will show everyone that it fits the bike and the nice price that we will like. That is our retail price. 9.67

Decided to take a shot it. Oops.

Just got my order from Motorcycle Superstore. They shipped the exact unit shown in pics on the site, a canister type filter for HDs.

A call to customer service confirmed that this is the part they meant to ship and they thought it fit. Their systems are wrong.

They are sending me a return shipping label and say they'll take the filter down from their site. In the mean time, don't order oil filters from 'em.

I got my ebay filters fast! The guy shipped them the next day. They look to be the right ones and they have the buell part number on the side.

hey to muddy things up

This summer, my local dealer decided to drop Buell and had Buell bits at 75% off. So I bought a couple of 1125 filters (altho I did not own an 1125). I did stick it into my Aprilia in place of the HF564 ....I should have taken pics but they are the same size.

Now that I got the CR, am kinda kicking my butt for not buying more.
