I was just googling Erik's patents (wondering if he'll be able to use any of them at his new motorcycle company, because you KNOW there will be one) when I ran across this: http://www.google.com/patents?id=87qxAAAAEBAJ&prin tsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false It's a patent application for an under-the-seat radiator. Drawings clearly show an 1125R type bike with Rotax mill. I wonder if this was scheduled for production at some point? | ||

That is a sweet idea, I might have to go into some fab work this winter, the ultimate POD removal. This patent would be useless to Harley, since they have no room between the seat and the back wheel, it would probably be bundled up with BMC's assets. | ||

If it worked worth a crap and didn't burn your a$$...... The pods on the 1125's work fine, it was a tuning issue that caused the overheating. The underseat thing has some massive challenges. You don't see Benelli racing.... It could work, but it's not efficent. R | ||

technically its not "under the seat" like the benelli, its more or less in the swing arm with an air duct down low to bring air to the radiators and a duct to let the air out just over the rear tire...FWIW.. Jake | ||
