You guys that did it yourself, did you replace the valve cover gaskets? I didn't and it's leaking like crazy. lol.

Front or Back? Are you sure you got the gasket seated properly? Also make sure you didn't loose the Coil gasket in the center of the valve cover. These gaskets are heavy duty and shouldn't leak unless its out of place.

I had a leak on my rear cylinder because the center gasket that seals for the coil plug fell out while trying to get the cover on. I had to pull it and put a new one on.

Both are leaking. I'm pretty sure they are seated properly, but it's possible that they came out of place. I'll check that center gasket, too. The gaskets seemed pretty tough to me, so it surprised me when the bike started smoking. I got some new gaskets, just in case. I'm gonna be a pro at rotating the engine.

That's why I chose to replace them instead of taking a chance. Loctite also has a rubber gasket prep material that helps make them seal w/o gluing them in place.

I didn't grease them. I'm regretting not replacing them right off the bat. I thought about it, but they seemed to be ok.
