Any Harley guys know if i can use a HD race tuner cable with a usb adapter on it to build this cable? I have a bunch of these race tuner cable they use to come with that tuner back a few years ago.

I tried this but wasn't having luck, Kept just timing out the transmission when I tried to fetch the ecm data on my 1125r.

Dsmitty - Short answer is "no"

I don't know enough about programming to use the right terminology, but basically the software was written to talk with a specific USB/serial chipset that translates the ECM "speak" to "serial speak". Cables made for VDSTS and Harley don't work.
