Let me start by saying....I love Buell's. I had a '00 M2, and I'm on my 2nd XB9SX. I have a chance to buy a new '09 1125R at a great price. I test-rode the '08 1125R very early on, before all the reflashes and stuff. It ran like crap. (Mostly) It even killed on me. I hear the '09 is a much better situation. I am going to ride one on Monday. I just want to know what any of you folks have to say about your '09 1125R's! Thanks for the input. -Roadrash1 | ||

I have owned mine since the end of February and have loved most every minute of it. The only issue that I have run into is a bad stator. Aside from having to wait 5 weeks to have it replaced, which has more to do with the dealer than anything else, it has all been covered under warranty. | ||

It's a good bike that's easy to ride. Buying it depends on the price. Some 09s are going for around 8k, which is impossible to turn down. Having a good dealer will help. | ||

Ditto what he said  and ditto on the stator. Been waiting on mine since mid August. Now they're backordered again till October. Still wouldn't part with her though. | ||

Parrick, I got the same story about the stator being backordered until October, so I called Buell Customer Service. After expressing my dissatisfaction, I ended up speaking with a very nice gentleman who found one and had it overnighted to my dealership. | ||

No, that wasn't it. The guy I spoke with called the dealership in TN only to find out that they didn't have it. I'm not sure who he spoke with, but he found one somewhere. His name is John, by the way. I wish I could remember his last name so you could call and ask to speak with him directly. I'm fairly certain that he could solve your stator problem, too. Is there a range of serial numbers that the bad stators tend to show-up on? Or is it just luck of the draw? I thought they got that problem cleared-up on the 09's. Thanks, this is the kind of useful info I need. -Roadrash1 | ||

09's use a different stator than the 08s. The 08 Stator is junk, along with the first like dozen ECM programmings. Love my 09 CR! | ||

Christiankid3, The person at Buell you talked to was probably Jon Silinski. I've talked with him many times. Very easy to talk to and he actually tries to get things resolved if he can. | ||

Yes, that was who I spoke with. I couldn't agree more with how easy he was to talk to and the fact that he tried his best (and succeeded) in getting things resolved for me. It was a relief to finally speak with someone who would help me rather than just read words from a computer screen to me. | ||
